On September 5, 1959, Weatherwell Ltd was still sitting on idle property at Greenore, and when the entire area came up for discussion concerning economic development, Greenore was included in those discussions. The published account above provides the true state of affairs at Greenore, and towards the end of 1959 the outlook was not good.
Tomorrow: Because inaction by Weatherwell Ltd., was beginning to raise questions in the press after Weatherwell Ltd. had already received government-backed loans to finance the development of a new factory at Greenore; Aodogán O'Rahilly decided that this state of affairs could not continue unaddressed.
