If you are following this Blog on a regular basis, then you will have observed its process of morphing into a more targeted line of inquiry.
By following the leads of Harry Spencer; Ove Sjöström and George Saunders, a clearer picture has begun to emerge about the actual and authentic background story concerning the creation of Radio Caroline. When this new information is combined with what we had already uncovered, and what we can now uncover with new leads; the actual story is finally coming to light in a very documented and verifiable format that would meet the "beyond reasonable doubt" threshold of a court of law. No court demands "beyond any doubt" because that is an impossible standard to meet, since most cases involving a "whodunit" are circumstantial: meaning that no one in the court room was present when the actual event took place. One question for us has always been: "what was the original event"? The answer seems to be multi-layered, meaning that in the instance of Radio Caroline, there wasn't one! However, this is not to say that Ronan O'Rahilly aided by Ian Cowper Ross did not try to invent one: they did. This is the hoax that Paul Rusling fell for! Rusling stole both paid for research material from us, as well as some of our hypothetical trial balloons, plus some of our own typographical errors! That is something that George Saunders noticed in Rusling's book and then pointed out to us. But now, at last, a true account is finally emerging. In the meantime this Blog has become extremely bloated, while at the same time our Timeline has begun to expand the narrative in a more straightforward manner. So in the next few days we are going to be making some major adjustments to the style of presentation of our material. Without in any way changing our own concept, or contents of the Timeline, we will begin to now refocus this Blog to reflect a basic core truth: It is not Ronan O'Rahilly that everyone should have been watching, is was the story of his father! More tomorrow. Comments are closed.
