This is Brian Lister, who is another hack writer who came into the lives of the trio during the period when they opened their research and invited other interested parties to join them in setting up a symposium. So the trio also published a 'Caroline Investigation' (various headings) email newsletter - which they circulated to many people, free of charge. This list was quite extensive and it included both Paul Rusling and Brian Lister. Brian Lister should have known better than to act as he did, which was to take from us and run into print with his 'Lulu' book called 'Pirate Gold'. Both Rusling's and Lister's books are of course on sale by the fake station that has a web site and calls itself 'Radio Caroline'. It is a fake station because it claims to be the lineal descendent of the original 'Radio Caroline' stations of 1964, but it is not. It is a small time fake masquerading under the banner of being a 'community licensed station' with a 2021 seal of approval issued by the British government. Rusling self-published his book of nonsense in 2019, and in it he repromoted that 1990 myth about a 'Jimmy Ross' being the key to the 1964 financing of 'Radio Caroline'. Lister self-published his book of conspiracy tales in 2017, and in doing so, he helped to keep the chain of idiotic rubbish flowing via web sites and print-on-demand publications. All of those tales had a point of common origin: Ian Cowper Ross and his novel called 'Rocking the Boat', which was not self-published. 'Rocking the Boat' was launched in 1990 with the help of Ross' aristocratic mother-in-law. She had connections aplenty within the British Establishment. Consequently that book was followed-up with a 1991 BBC-TV pseudo-documentary 'starring' Ian Cowper Ross in which what had been 'sort-of' labeled as fiction, suddenly became endorsed as fact, and then expounded upon, on camera, by Ian Cowper Ross. At the time that Brian Lister had access to our material, we were unaware of the extent to which real (not the 'Jimmy' variety), family contacts of Ian Cowper Ross played such an important part in creating the bogus story of 'Radio Caroline'. But the total misdirection that began in 1990, which triggered the release of so many books about 'pirate radio' all claiming to 'know the real story', and none of them having the slightest idea of what the real story was and is, has become our own stepped-up reason for this investigation. People like Brian Lister should know better, and perhaps they do know better? We do not know his true motive for publishing his book of conspiratorial rubbish, but this is what he claims as his background: "Brian Lister .... co-authored a guide to Managing Radio with two colleagues from Sunderland University where he is a visiting lecturer. .... he became manager of University Radio Essex while studying for his electronics degree. .... trained with BBC Radio as a studio manager .... manage(d) commercial radio stations in Teesside, Harrogate, Darlington and Sunderland. .... founding director of community radio stations in Sunderland and Teesdale. .... wrote many successful Ofcom licence applications .... worked with .... Jazz FM and Lyca Media. .... served on the National Executive of the broadcasting union ABS .... board member of the Commercial Radio Companies Association. .... trustee of the Public Service Broadcasting Trust .... active member of the Radio Academy." Either something is clearly wrong with academic standards and the broadcast industry, or Brian Lister knowingly published a non-academic work of low-grade fiction and passed it off as a book based upon fact. Either he knew that he was publishing more rubbish that would confuse gullible anoraks buying his book, or Brian Lister has no valid qualifications to write such a book! Chose. Lister's book contains the same sort of nonsense that Paul Alexander Rusling later unleashed to aid the falsified claims of a licenced, tiny community radio station that in 2021 calls itself 'Radio Caroline'. But there is a difference between these two books: Rusling's version tries to adhere to Ronan O'Rahilly blarney, while Lister tries to spin yet another political conspiracy tale. Both of them blind anyone with an inquiring mind to even wonder what the real story is. Both Lister and Paul Rusling make their living by giving advice to broadcasting companies, which means that either they are giving good advice, but knowingly conned and duped gullible buyers of their books; or, neither one of them have a clue as to the subject they claim to be 'experts' in, which means that they believe the rubbish they published. Which of those two options applies here, we don't know. But what we do know is that both books took from our research, twisted it with nonsensical distortions, and then palmed it off as their own work. We do know that Hans Knot published an Online review by Paul Bailey of the Lister book. It appeared Online in Hans Knot's International Radio Report for November 2017. Bailey did tear Lister's narrative to shreds and then suggested that Lister should .... "devote some time and research and have a second go at producing a book which really does tell ‘the real story’ one day." But the question is: What is "the real story"?
It should be noted that Ray Clark had previously come along in 2014 and published the first of two editions of his book, which he claimed was "the real story", but in reality, Clark's books are built upon the same rubbish that Ian Cowper Ross let lose on the world back in 1990! As for Hans Knot, he was also highly critical of the book published in 1977 by Paul Harris called 'Broadcasting from the High Seas'. But then, Knot continually dismisses the political implications of 'Radio Caroline' in 1964, and has become a leader in the cult of worship surrounding the blarney spewed by Ronan O'Rahilly - with the help of Ian Cowper Ross. In the view of Hans Knot, Lister really strayed off the Ronan O'Rahilly sacred reservation with claims (according to Knot's reviewer Paul Bailey), that: "The stations’ running costs were actually secretly financed by the CIA, who channelled the money through Garner Ted Armstrong, who was used as a ‘front’ to hide the real source of the money." Lister's source is our own previously published work called: "Prophecies of Dystopic "Old World, New World" Transitions Told: "The World Tomorrow" Radio Broadcasts to the United Kingdom: 1965-1967" A short time ago we even linked that work from 2007 to our own originating research site which has been preserved by the Internet 'Wayback Machine'. But we did not stop there. Our research has continued and is still ongoing. What Hans Knot has done, with the help of Brian Lister, is to dismiss any idea that an unseen political objective was really behind the creation of 'Radio Caroline' in 1964, and that is what we have been researching and uncovering. The aim of Hans Knot with the help of Paul Rusling, is to keep the brain dead minds of anoraks focused upon the blarney spun by Ronan O'Rahilly and assisted by Ian Cowper Ross. Those myths all focus upon a phantom person called 'Jimmy Shaw' who was turned into Jimmy Ross, and neither character ever existed. We have discovered, and we will be revealing that the originating author of the nonsense story about the creation of 'Radio Caroline' began in 1964 with Les Perrin Associates after this firm took over that account. But who assigned it to them, and why? Originally there were two public relations companies in the mix. Perrin for 'Radio Caroline', and 'Ed White Associates' for 'Radio Atlanta'. That is where the real story begins. It concerns the identity of both Les Perrin Associates, and Ed White Associates. What emerge from a study of these two firms is a totally different agenda on behalf of two very different radio stations: first 'Radio Atlanta', and then 'Radio Caroline' which gobbled-up 'Radio Atlanta'. 'Radio Caroline' was originally created to serve one purpose only, and that was to establish the current standing of the Nineteenth Century 'Hovering Acts'. 'Radio Atlanta' was indeed the station with geopolitical ties that reached back to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), but that organization is not so unified as it may at first appear, which is why those in the know never call it "THE" CIA. In that sense, it is not so different to the make-up of MI5; MI6 or even the British Crown. Our investigation, and this Blog, will continue unmasking the events that have been concealed up until now about the true story involving 'Radio Caroline'. Comments are closed.
