In case you did not see his comment I will re-post it here. (I will be back later on today with another blog update as well that will continue the Rusling Review.) Here's what Scottg wrote:

Caroline, The RSL from Dover in 1992, celebrated 20 years of 'Radio Caroline', they easily could have said 28 years! Therefore the current organisation can only claims links (to the name, 'CAROLINE') from Holland onwards. However this is not quite true. Although transmittions came from the Mi Amigo, from 24-7-73 to 23-2-74, the name Radio Caroline was not used, (they used Radio Seagull), The timeline again is broken. In fact the current organisation using the name are the people who did the supply runs when it returned to the Knock Deep in 1974, and especially when 'Radio Mi Amigo' and laterly when 'Radio Monique' closed. The earliest that I can place for current DJ's is Nigel Harris (Stuart Russell 15-5-76). As for Paul Alexander (Rusling), he only broadcast between 4th-26th June 1973 (66hrs total) on Radio Caroline. (source: Monitor (Buster Pearson)). Scottg.
