Staying on topic, and the topic is Oil ....

There are so many aspects of this story that involve a lot of specific interest groups which seem to go around and around in circles with their comments.

They are like religious cults in that sense, because their topic subject is also their dogma. To deviate from it, is to deviate from their doctrine. Consequently other factors never come into play, and so they work upon a confirmation bias that cannot reach a resolution. Why? Because they have closed their eyes to the bigger picture which they view as extraneous matter.

In the instance of this Blog the bigger picture is called "oil", or more specifically, offshore natural gas and oil. So before any particular post on this Blog advances too far with detailed information, and then deviates from the trunk of the tree, we will remind you of this basic fact because it took us years to identify it!

The trunk of the tree is called "oil", and we will keep reminding you of what we are investigating, and why we are investigating it.

An example of deviation by confirmation bias leading to obfuscation of the real issue, is found in the 'Declaration of War' by the United Kingdom against Nazi Germany. That document resulted from a failed ultimatum over Poland.

The UK has continued to hammer out the message over its State influenced media, that it got into WWII because Nazi Germany invaded Poland, and Nazi Germany would not withdraw when told to do so by the UK.

But that is an explanation based upon half of the facts in evidence.

In a courtroom demanding the "whole truth", that explanation would be deemed to be a lie.

The real story, which the UK knew, was that Nazi Germany and the USSR had concluded a trade deal involving oil shipments. Those shipments from Baku, USSR, were delivered to the Polish border in train tank cars running on one gauge of rail line. They were then transferred to another train of tank cars at the Polish border which was running on a different gauge of rail line. After the transfer they were taken to Nazi Germany.

This trade deal was then followed by a Nazi Germany and Communist Russia (USSR) 'Non-Aggression Pact'. That Pact was followed by a Nazi invasion from the west of Poland. Seventeen days later, Communist Russia invaded from the east of Poland. But the UK only blamed Nazi Germany for its invasion of Poland.

However, the UK devised a plan to bomb Baku in order to shut off oil shipments that were fueling the Nazi war machine. But that bombing raid never happened. In hindsight, armchair critics have contended that if it had, then the USSR would have joined Nazi Germany to wage war upon the UK. But would it? The USSR would have also been deprived of oil.

Now consider this:

The planned bombing of Baku was also contemplated by the USSR itself - after Nazi Germany broke their 'Non-Aggression Pact' by invading the USSR, because Nazi Germany intended to seize Baku. Although Nazi Germany never made it that far, the USSR dismantled the facilities at Baku and shifted most of them to other oil deposits further in land.

If this bombing by a fleet of both British and French planes (before the fall of France) had taken place, then would the rest of the story have played-out as it is now written?

Think about the bigger picture: Those mass extermination Nazi death camps may never had a chance to be put into operation as part of 'Final Solution'! Yes, the Nazi Germans hated Jews, but Winston Churchill was also blaming 'bad Jews' for being responsible for the creation of the USSR! As long ago as 1920 when Winston Churchill was the MP for Dundee in Scotland, he identified the leader of those 'bad Jews' as being the founder of a Germanic secret society called 'Illuminati'. Winston Churchill was an anti-Semitic conspiracy nutcase, according to today's "wok" standard of judging human behavior!

The USSR ruthlessly exterminated its enemies. They exterminated the Polish soldiers that they captured and then falsely blamed their executions upon the Nazis. But the USSR under Joe Stalin had years of experience at ruthless extermination of its enemies. Joe Stalin was way-ahead of Adolph Hitler in that comparison. Whether Hitler 'caught-up' with Stalin in their race to exterminate human beings is another matter. Communist China may have been a late-comer to this awful 'game' of mass-exterminating enemies, but Mao certainly joined the 'Hall of Infamy' already populated by Stalin and Hitler. Mao was major-league monster. 

This speculation about "what if" is what happens when anyone deviates from the trunk of the tree. The people engrossed in the conspiracy theories surrounding the murder of JFK are also engaged in this useless kind of prattle, and so are the people who devote their lives to the story of broadcasting, both onshore and offshore. But both of those sub-topics are merely branches off the main topic.

That topic, the topic of this Blog, is all about oil.
